I loved this book and would have given it 5 stars if the ending had been as I wanted it! Possibly not the fairest reason to knock a star off, so maybe four and a half stars would be fairer.
This is a difficult book to review without giving away too much of the plot. The story is based around a set of identical twins, Rose and iris, their extended family, the fortune their father has left and the chaos ensuing from the conditions of who gets the inheritance.
It is easy to read page turner, and very well written with the author creating strong characters and great atmosphere. I loved the twists and turns which weren’t overdone but kept you guessing. I worked out some of the plot twists but not all and I think one of the things that set this book above many of the genre is the clever way the author built on the layers of characters so that your sympathies changed as each individual’s personality was revealed.
