Here's the thing: I am not a thriller book reader. Even with films, I just thought it wasn't my thing. But I got this book for free so obviously, I had to read it. And to be honest, it wasn't what I was expecting - I thought I wouldn't like it but I found myself wondering about it quite often. It took me a bit to get into it, but I enjoyed it while I read it. I can't give it more stars because I don't think I'd read it again but it is a good thing, because the plot twist had me in shock. It is a mindfuck read, I'll tell you that. The pacing at first was slow, but it picked up after the first third of the book. It is very twisted and atmospheric, but as much as I enjoyed it and thought it was great, I still think thrillers arent my thing. Am I more open to reading them now? Sure, if I find a plot for one that seems interesting I might pick it up.
