I was delighted to receive a copy of 'The Girl in the mirror' (by Rose Carlyle) and even more excited to give it a read.
In spite of its vast difference from the reading material I usually opt for, I really enjoyed this book. It was one full of suspense and mystery, with a hint of darkness buried beneath the surface, which was very interesting.
Despite having a fairly slow start, the book became fast paced and the writing style was one I could engage with as it was not too complex or bolt- on. There were also a plethora of twists and turns which kept me interested and incapable of parting myself from the book.
I'm not sure if this is a book I would be able to read again, however I strongly recommend and encourage you to read this book if you are looking for an exciting (and slightly dark) novel to read this summer. I will definitely be recommending 'The Girl in the Mirror' to more people and looking out for more books by this author in the future.
