When I first started reading this I thought it was a little slow. I was interested enough and found Iris a little bit creepy when it came to her trying to be her sister. However something happens about a quarter of the way through and suddenly I became very invested. It was a very unusual premise which I found fascinating, if not a little unrealistic. **SPOILERS** The one part that really stunned me though was the very last section and in particular the last couple of paragraphs. The rug was well and truly pulled from underneath me, just when I thought I'd seen the ending coming. It was very dark and I did find myself thinking about it hours later.

I thought there was a little too much family politics in this for me, but this was until I read the very last part and it all suddenly made sense to me. I was going to give this a three star review until that end, because it held my attention well enough. The ending bought it up a star because it genuinely shocked me.
