I started reading this book intrigued by the family dynamic, especially with the twins and how Iris believed she was born anatomically wrong. It was a slow burn and I did hope, being a thriller, the twists and turns of the book would draw me in more. However, I just started to feel uncomfortable. Once it got to the point where the yacht was back on land, that’s where I felt the change. It was like the book was giving me anxiety with the terms used to describe the sex, how the half-sister was being treated and that I could feel that something wasn’t quite as it seemed with the way the story was going. Inheritance has a big part to play in some families lives, but this book is showing an extreme way of how separate parts of a family are trying to get their hands on it, which didn't make me like the characters. The ending didn’t thrill me and I felt there were some unanswered questions.
