The girl in the Mirror is an intriguing premis for a book. Iris and Summer are identical twin sisters on the surface however underneath they are mirrored with Iris having her internal organs the opposite way. Growing up Iris always felt jealous of Summer who was the first born and was perfect with everything going her way. Their father dies when they are 14 leaving a twisted will with everything going to the first of his children having a baby to carry on the family name.
At age 23 Iris is called by her sister to help pilot her yacht across the Indian Ocean.
In the middle of the journey Summer falls overboard after announcing she is pregnant. Was Iris to blame and why does she decide to pretend to be Summer?
I found Iris such a complex character as at first she seems unlikeable but gradually she reveals herself to be caring and nice while discovering Summer's perfect life is not all it seems.
I really enjoyed this book and loved the ending.
