The book cover for me is meant to convey as much of the feel and style of the content within. I’ve been guilty of ‘judging a book by its cover’ when skimming over potential purchases in a bookshop before. True to the saying, it often can lead to something deceptive and a disappointing read .
It have a look of the slightly chaotic, swirling plots but also with an underlying humour, a reluctance to present as wholly serious. The style of illustration feels imperfect, but unapologetically so, much like many of the characters and stories contained within.
