All at once the story captures the reader's attention by putting them straight into the story. It doesn't reveal everything at once and drags on the suspense beautifully, drawing you in before you know it. The characters are well fleshed out, shown well even from the sneak peak. The use of first person tense is done brilliantly and allows the text to flow easily without coming off as forced or too cringey.
From just looking at the cover I knew I would be interested - admittedly I thought it was the main characters would be lesbians, but nevertheless my attention was immediately captured upon reading the blurb.
I would absolutely keep reading - the tension that's been built up by the description of the aftermath of the incident without fully revealing the incident itself is exciting and the book so far is riveting.
