i adore dual perspective books, especially when they have chapters of 'then' and 'now'- which this does! i know 'intriguing' is a word getting thrown around a lot about this book, but i am truely intrigued! the insistence of the emails and ambrosia having to attend the reunion really amps up the tension. i can't wait to see how her character, both then and now, develops. i can't wait to know the truth of what happened, and also meeting flora in the 'now'. i'd like to think this'll become popular in the dark/light academia groups- definitely seems like something to fit in there!
the cover!! i usually don't like covers with people but there's just something about this that draws you in. even though you can only see the side profile of both girls, it's clear that they don't really trust each other and there's definitely tension. i really like the orange filter too, it's somehow built the atmosphere up.
