Interesting but not sure if this is for me

Not my usual kind of read but I found the extract pretty interesting. It seems to be about being out of your comfort zone, desperately trying to fit in and toxic obsessive relationships with friends that can haunt you for many many years to come. Seems well written but not sure if I am drawn enough to it.
