I thought this was an ok read, it skips between the main characters college years and her adult life ten years later. It's good in the sense that it opens the age demographic of the book up but it also meant that every other chapter was a bit of a less engaging read.
It's a slow burner that keeps referring to some dark past but it doesn't give anything away too soon, again making every other chapter a bit less engaging initially.
The main character is intentionally a bit unlikeable which is interesting, as they don't seem to like themselves very much either so it's an interesting way to portray them.
The writing style changes subtly I think from chapter to chapter to reflect what point in her life the main character is at which again I thought was really interesting.
I quite like that it's a slow burner and doesn't give it all away at the start.
