Thrillers are my absolute favourite genre, this was a particularly dark but compelling read.

The girls are all so nice here follows Ambrosia Wellington as she faces her university reunion. The narrative switches between the current day and dark memories from the past that still haunt her life.

I actually really enjoyed how the timeline kept switching. I know this may be confusing for some but it kept me wanting to read more. I really enjoyed seeing how the past was creeping up and impacting Ambrosia in her current life. How the mistakes she made haven’t been forgotten.

I will admit that I really didn’t like any of the characters. But that almost made it more compelling. It felt necessary when highlighting a truly dark female friendship. My biggest complaint with this book was having to put it down! Although there was something about the last few chapters that dampened things for me. The pace seemed to drop off slightly. That being said, I really hope there is more to come from this!

I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more from this author. I would recommend this to any thriller fans! However, as a warning, there are some subjects in this book that people may find triggering.
