This book was a real slow burn but it was also quite gripping with the author skillfully drip feeding little clues as to the 'crime' which had been committed and the power of toxic relationships.

Without dropping any spoilers this is the story of Amb, Sully and Flora, three college 'friends' and how jealousy and one-up-manship can have devastating results.

The characters were, however a little stereotypical and on-dimensional with Sully being the powerful one, Amb the one who wants Sully's approval and the 'goody' two-shoes Flora. However, they almost needed to be one-dimensional for the story to work as the complexities of their back stories would have taken more words than the book had. It provided a snap-shot of their college life almost devoid of back stories other than Amb's, as we saw her current life with her husband Adrian.

I enjoyed it, and would recommend it.
