First off, go and pick this one up! It is absolutely phenomenal and an excellent debut.
Right from the first chapter it was clear that this has such a mean girls vibe but with adult characters and an even dark, twisty and juicy storyline. It twisted so many times and I had no idea where it was going. Such a brilliant plot, it was a rollercoaster.
The characterisation was very well done, I really felt for some of the characters and despised others. I wouldn’t necessarily say this is one for those who need all of the characters they read to be extremely likeable - but if you don’t mind mean, unlikable characters then strap yourselves in and get ready for the ride. Just to note, there is character progression. It’s not like the characters start horrible and don’t change at all. I’m just saying none of them were incredibly lovable for me personally.
