I have to admit it took me a while to get into this book.

Ambrosia has been invited to her college reunion but this is one invitation she definitely does not want to accept. Before she can decline her husband sees it and thinks this would be a great opportunity for them both to have fun.

At the reunion we meet her ex best friend Sully. They both share a dark secret and someone at the reunion is pursuing them hoping to uncover their hidden secret.

The story involves lots of tough issues, bullying, promiscuity and rape. Some of the characters are definitely mean and manipulative. As a mother I would be horrified if I thought any of my children behaved in the way some of the main characters did. I understand the peer pressure involved but also feel they should ultimately stand up for what they know is right,, It may be an age thing but I thought there was a lot of crude parts in the storyline which I personally thought were uncalled for.

The ending of the book was excellent and the final twist was unexpected. The choices people make can have long lasting consequences and this was explored beautifully at the end. Overall this was a book which shocked me but had me wanting to figure it out in equal measures.
