This book was gripping from the offset. With a split perspective between now “the reunion” and then “the unfolding of events”, I was intrigued throughout.

The main character - Ambrosia (aka Amb) wasn’t a loveable character in either of the timelines. In the present day, she just felt very flat and lifeless. All hinting to something horrible she’d done during her time at school.

Then in the past, it showed the timeline from beginning at this new school and everything that happened between that and the cataclysmic event which has been haunting her for the rest of her life.

It was quite tense watching the build up and trying to establish what had happened and what was currently happening.
I had lots of ideas and was thrown off the scent quite a few times.

I do feel that the ending was quite abrupt and in my opinion, needed a bit more drama because it seemed to start and end very quickly.

Overall, a really enjoyable read and one I’d definitely recommend!
