The novel grips the reader with mystery straight away with the invitations to a reunion that Ambrosia seems overly worried about. As they become more frequent she is backed into a corner and reluctantly decides to go with her younger husband in tow. Ambrosia’s conflicting emotions are portrayed well in the sneak peek.
The writing style flies effortlessly and the alternating between then and now keeps pace for the novel and helps the reader try and piece together what happened that was so bad and who was affected by ‘that night’.
This would definitely be a novel that I would buy and my interest has absolutely peaked. So many questions are raised from the sneak leak of the book that finding out what has happened is a must!
If there are other novels by this author I would be very intrigued to see what they were about and read further delights!
