The extract I read was incredibly intriguing! The characters all seemed to draw me in and I found myself wanting to learn more about them. The writing is beautifully done, and creates just enough tension and mystery to leave me wanting more without revealing too much or confusing me.
The main character, Amb, is clearly a flawed person, but unlike a lot of protagonists, she is aware of it and knows that what she’s done and how she acts is wrong. It provides an interesting commentary as to how we as humans cannot always rise to be the bigger person as sometimes it’s who we are.
The other characters, and specifically their relationships with Ambrosia are all very well thought out and well rounded, and I’m intrigued to read more and find out what has really occurred, how different characters fit into the story, and what really happened in Dorm Doom all those years ago!
