When Lexi's boyfriend, Will, fakes food poisoning to get out of going to an important wedding, Lexi decides to even the score. Lexi is tired of their lives revolving around the football schedule. So when an accidentally broken television set results in Will spending more time with her, Lexi realises that revenge might be the best thing that's happened to their relationship.

'The good girlfriend's guide to getting even' is a light, romantic comedy. Every chapter and every one of Lexi's vengeful acts are a light-hearted and entertaining read. I was captivated throughout, I was keen to find out what Lexi would do next and what the consequences would be. I enjoyed the pace and I like the author's effortlessly humorous writing style.

Many readers may relate to having a long-term relationship or a sport-mad partner, though hopefully they aren't as sport-mad as Will! I like how the author has used social media in her story, which will be relatable to any bloggers who have felt under pressure to put out entertaining content.

I liked the whole cast of characters in this story. Lexi was written as a warm, funny and relatable character therefore the readers won't question her motives too deeply. My only issue was with Will and Lexi! Will's only flaw is that he is a huge football fan. Lexi does some pretty devious things to Will and I did find myself feeling rather sorry for him, when all she had to do was speak to him! If they did however, the entertaining premise wouldn't have worked!

Overall I enjoyed this unique premise and I enjoyed the entertaining story throughout. I recommend this book to anyone wanting an entertaining and easy read.
