The excerpt presented a world unknown to us but not difficult to understand quickly. Clem, born into oppression, alongside her sister Aster is about to experience the night she’s been kept for. My heart was in my mouth reading that prologue, especially the way it ended. Trouble is definitely ahead for clem and probably Aster too.
