First of all, the cover is stunning! That gold and a little bit purple really draws the reader in.
Second, I love the first impression! It’s dark, gripping and fantastic. Fantasy is my favorite genre. Reading about two sisters who fight oppression as a plot in a fantasy book is amazing. And if that isn’t empowering I don’t know what is.
Third, I really like the magic system. And I liked that the tattoos on the girls grow over time.
I would really love to know more, to know what happens to Clem after her “Lucky Night” and what would happen to her and her sister.
