Every single word of those first few chapters intrigued me, the mix of magic and politics and history already has me fascinated. I would buy the hell out of this book; I need to know more about everything from the magic system and the girls' tattoos, to their lack of shadows and how the sisters will handle the events of Clementine's Lucky Night.
Even besides the mystery of the novel, the cover is absolutely gorgeous and would make an excellent addition to my shelf of beautiful books. 😭🤩 The purple and gold makes for such a pretty colour scheme.
