The premise of this books sounds great, but this opening didn’t lure me in, it didn’t make me feel I really wanted to know what happens. Perhaps it’s the fantasy element (it’s generally not really my thing). But there’s no context in these opening pages, no explanation of what brags, dustbloods etc are. It’s all a bit abstract
