I absolutely loved how this novel started, it was an intriguing plot and it hit the ground running on the first page but I quickly found the pace slowed and I had to push through leaving me disappointed in the end.
The plot itself is fantastic, I got very Western vibes from the setting, the clothing etc and the characters were great although I struggled to get a hold on them. I can't help but think there were too many people introduced too quickly and I didn't really get enough from them by the end. I think a sequel or a spin off could help with that though, as it could flesh it out a bit more and build on the world in more detail than we are currently given.
Overall I enjoyed the read but there are definitely areas that could be improved with such a dense subject matter.
