So what can i say about the good luck girls? It is without a doubt unlike any book i’ve read in a while. It had a very ‘out there’ premise that I was excited to delve into. I love a plotline that focuses on a group of people which ‘the good luck girls’ does. And it is an incredibly enjoyable read despite some darker themes. This was definitely a complimentary mash up of many different genres like crime/mystery and romance but it works so well together for an all over amazing read. I am ashamed to say that I waited for such a long time to read this book because it has definitely become one of my favourites of the year. Felt as if ‘six of crows’ and ‘the handmaid’s’ tale had come together to make a baby, and it is such a beautiful baby. The strong emphasis on rebellion really spoke to me as a fan of contemporary YA, it’s a universal thing that we all feel and was captured very well.
