What I love about this book is that it has a combination of so many themes and genres, Wild West, young adult, fantasy and a bit of romance to name a few.
This book is based on the five Good Luck Girls, who have honestly had anything but good luck. As young children, they were sold into prostitution and slavery. This novel starts off its them escaping into freedom after one of the characters murders a man.
I had never really been one to read Wild West books but this novel is different. I loved the interesting minor details which made the whole book really clear I’m your head. I especially loved the different and unique uses if magic throughout the novel.
Although I thought that five main characters may be a bit too hard to follow, it was surprisingly easily. Although the focus was still kept on the main character, every single one of the good luck girls had a backstory and decent character development.
The ending was satisfying as it cleared up any doubts and questions the reader had.
Overall, a great novel that was well thought out.
