Action-Packed and Engaging
I really enjoyed this book. I had a feeling it was going to be good from the moment I read the synopsis - and I was right.
There’s enough action to keep you invested, all while tackling some more emotional and sensitive subjects - for this reason I would not recommend it for a younger audience, rather older younger adults. I think it will do very well with female audiences who love a bit of YA thrill and action in their books. I also like the fact that while this character has POC as its main predominant characters, the author has not focused solely on their race - it instead focuses more on finding freedom and being able to stand up to the rich together. The characterisation is fab, the diversity and representation brilliant - I look forward to reading the next book in the series, and anything else by this author!
