I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It had a feeling of dystopian fiction and although the characters were young it didn’t feel like I was reading a book aimed at teens. The character development was great, particularly for dawn and violet. At some parts I felt like I couldn’t put the book down, I just wanted to know what would happen next. It was easy to read and follow, although paranormal activity and what appeared to be magic is noted, it was not difficult to read. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I would have preferred a little bit more detail throughout the book. Also I would have liked to see the relationship development between zee and Clem. Though with all that being said. I would definitely recommend this book!
