Courageous and relevant
The Good Luck Girls gripped me really quickly! The ideas were dark and the little elements of magic had me intrigued from go! 😍 The book had a dystopian and a fantasy feel to it and the world building was so effective! Tough subjects were approached in a sensitive way, although they were represented very realistically.
Friendship was represented brilliantly and the bonds formed were so strong! I felt so attached to the characters and admired their strength and resilience 💜 Also on the topic of characters, there was beautiful diversity in both race and sexuality of character. There was little romantic interest amongst characters, however I didn’t miss this element as I enjoyed the friendship dynamics so much!
The Good Luck Girls was so well rounded that it encompassed adventure, action, moral indecision and found family all at once! I highly recommend this book for fans of Six of Crows and An Heir comes to Rise and The Host✨ I gave the book four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ although it is very nearly a 5/5!
