I was so excited for this book. The concept sounds incredible the cover is just stunning, and so I went into this rather excited.
The concept of the story was great and I honestly felt like the potential was staggering, the execution let it down for me. It was an enjoyable tale of two sisters (and co) fighting for their freedom and lives. I really appreciated the difficult topics dealt with in this book; the enslavement, entrapment, drug abuse and addiction, and of course the sexual assault. I always have to tip my hat at authors willing to go there, and I'm very glad this book did.
The reason why I personally didnt do well with this one is possibly because I found it too predictable? The stakes were high but I never felt overwhelmed by them and therefore didn't overly care enough.
I think it will still be very enjoyable for a lot of people, but sadly it wasn't a book that wowed me.
