From the first chapter I found myself wishing not to finish the book in one sitting but wishing for this book to be the beginning of a whole series. I can’t think of any other book that will have the same type of story line. The oppression of the girls/women as familiar a thousand years ago as it sometimes now and how some authors think that will still be part of the world in the future. This story had heart, drama, action, and real emotion. I was taken in from the start. We learn of the dire situation two sisters and their friends face and how they escape and discover their own power. The style of writing was good as well, and I really felt for the girls - their bond was something to aspire to.
