Overall I really loved the concept of this book. These yound girls are sold into slavery and this is about their journey to escape this. The characters are well developed and grow as the story continues. It combines a young adult theme with a fantasy/dystopian sort of vibe. I particularly liked the characters of Aster and Violet and how they change and adapt to their increasingly complex situations and the relationship change between the two of them.
The writing for the book is really quiet good and its very engaging. However, there are sections of the book where it doesn't feel like a huge amount is happening and it probably could have been cut out to make for a faster paced story. Finally, the ending for the book feels a little rushed and there's no real epilogue, but it's probably a personal preference that I like!
