Okai, so I've wanted to read this for ages, and I was super excited to have won a copy through Reader's First. The Good Luck Girls has a lot of potential. A great mix of some of favourite genres, and reminiscent of the things that made me love Firefly.

This book deals with a lot of hard to cover subjects, such as physical, and sexual abuse, violence, theft etc. It's a story of escaping and finding themselves, and all of this in a 'wild west' kind of setting.

The Good Luck Girls could have done so much with the plot, but I felt it lacked something. I'm not really sure what. Maybe it's down to me, and my having read lots of stories like this, but I found I just couldn't enjoy it quite as much as I wanted to. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I didn't love it, and I feel super disappointed by it.
