I loved the YA / dystopian / coming of age dynamic that had it going throughout this book, this element of a female perspective really added a touch to the book. It was really well written but actually a really hard hitting read. The theme of the girls being sold out and basically fighting for their survival was really tough to read- be prepared for that.
It was a little bit hard to get into at the beginning but after the first chapter I was hooked and defiantly hungry for more. I just wanted to get to the end of the book to find out what happens.
It is really well written with bugs levels of intensity all the way through. I really liked how Ester, violet and clementine developed through out the book, this was really written.
Just a warning- the book is dark but not graphic. I praise the author for they way they wrote such horrible topics so hard hitting but also inspiring
