Upon reading the blurb for this book, I imagined the story to be quite modern however upon reading the sneak peek I realised this was not the case.
The book gripped me from the beginning and I’m greatly intrigued to see what happens to Clementine and her sister Aster as in the prologue we know a death occurs. The novel is extremely well written and shows the close relationship the two sisters have and there is a lot of mystery to the welcome house.
This book surprised me by how quickly it grasped my interest and how likeable the characters were.
I would definitely buy this book as the story is gripping, original and there is much more to uncover about the time period the book is written in.
