What a beautifully written story!
Set in a dystopian wild west, which is what we need more off as this setting was amazing and Charlotte did a really fantastic job with this world and how she described it. I adored it.
Where girls are sold off to welcome houses by their parents who think they will have a better life but, they are getting branded as soon as they are bought. Branded by with a magical tattoo on their neck so when if they ever tried to escape they would be able to be found with this tattoo. The welcome house or The Good Luck Girls is far from good luck. You work as a day break girl until you turn 16 then you become a sundown girl...

We follow 5 girls in this story. Clem, on her first night as a sundown girl accidentally kills a guy and now She, her sister and their friends are on the run.
This book does not slow down. We follow the girls as they are on the run and it was just so gripping, fast paced. They find a place that might be able to remove their branding on their neck so they can escape this life and be free.

But, this journey is dangerous for these girls, especially with the brandings on their neck. Can they make it to the end before the evil forces catch up?

I love this book. I really enjoyed reading about each of the girls, their stories and their lives and getting deeper into the book and seeing the character development, relationships, the fantasy element and all of the magic that is thrown into this fantastic book.

A story about a group of girls who just want to be free. To live their own life and not be held down by the powerful. A story of breaking free and doing what you can to survive.

I cannot wait to see what Charlotte writes next!
