From the very start my heart was broken for the girls, more like children. And for majority of the book, I had to remind myself that this was not real, that it was a book. I can not put a pin in it, what exactly made it so true, yet fantastical. I think it might have been just a fact that myself as a woman, reading about girls tough lives and their tough characters, made me feel for them more that ever. I am a sucker for strong female lead, for the strength that is not share physical force.
At the same time, despite the accident that sends the girls into escalation of events, romance was unnecessary and spoiled it a bit for me. Not every story is made stronger by adding that to it.
Loved the cover and names of characters a lot. Not disappointing by the book at all.
