The start of this book suggested that is going to be a heart warming romance. The thoughts of Anna, straight away made me think she was autistic and using masking. I think it is so important that hidden disabilities become more normalised in fiction. As a parent of an autistic daughter who masks her difficulties this book resonated immediately with me. I loved the conversation between Anna and her boyfriend in which he tries to convince her that he should see other people before they settle down. His belief that he can but she won’t want to shows how awful some men can be. This looks a really good read.
