The Heart Principle is the third novel in The Kiss Quotient trilogy and it was equally as good as the first two books. This novel follows the story of violinist Anna Sun, who is struggling with burnout. When her boyfriend decides he'd like to try an open relationship she decides to do the same and this is how she meets Quan Diep. Anna and Quan have to fight for for their chance at love but they also have to fight for themselves.
This was a very raw and honest story about the expectations of family & society and the very real consequence of burnout and how this feels. It was quite validating to see a character suffer from burn out and find her way to recovery. It is a heavy novel at times that is balanced with the romance between Anna and Quan. A beautiful end to a beautiful and much needed trilogy. I really can't wait to see what Helen Hoang writes next!
