The book is a contemporary romance that follows the story of Anna and Quan and their relationship. It is dual pov and handles topics such a cancer bereavement and anxiety
The writing style contained lots of speech which kind of lost my interest and I didn’t really enjoy the first quarter of the book but I did like the love story between the two main characters because it was raw and real and emotional they both didn’t realise they needed each other and their connection was so deep and meaningful.
Towards the end there was a slight use of the miscommunication trope which I hated but it did allow Anna to stand up for herself which was very useful for her character development. Quan is definitely a perfect love interest and had serious book bf quality so I would definitely recommend reading it for him.
The book does touch anxiety and autism really well (without giving any spoilers) and the Asian rep is really cute 🥰
