This was my first Helen Hoang book and I was very impressed. I loved her writing style and ability to make every paragraph a literary masterpiece. She wrote the book in first person - my personal favourite - which helped me connect with the characters way more than I thought I would.
You could tell that the characters really loved each other, and the premise of the book wasn't only based on the romance, but also on Anna's journey of self-discovery, from her autism diagnosis to being able to comprehend her feelings about her father.
It deals with topics such as trying to fit in/finding yourself, family expectations, the loss of a loved one, mental health issues, and more. Definitely get the tissues out for this one!!
Overall, I loved this book and I can't wait to start The Kiss Quotient, I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who loves romance with a deeper meaning
