Playing such a tantalising game with death means that this book does not fear to hold back, it will be a deep moving book with tension and grit.

A snake slivering on the globe, the swooping title.. all in all it is a good cover for a paperback. However, I would expect more for a hardback dust jacket. The small historical town also fits in well with the continuation of the series and helps remind the reader of the setting proposed in the book.
