I like the cover; the image hints at the book's contents accurately
Despite not reading the previous books, the author does a good job of briefly giving some insight into the characters and previous backstory without it being too extensive. The thought processes of the different characters are very discernible and unique to them, making the multiple perspectives much easier to read. Worldbuilding makes it easier to imagine the scene. Has encouraged me to look into the series as I enjoy fantasy, multiple perspectives and mysteries
