If you like historical and crime books, then you will love this book.
It is a series but you don't have to have read the rest of the books. I believe this is the fourth book withing this series.
The period is Elizabethan and a crime has been committed. The queen's physician has been executed for treason.
There is conspiracies, lies and you start to doubt everyone and anyone.
I would highly recommend this book and the other books in the series, this is the third book I have read. The author has clearly done a lot of research and doesn't go wild with theories about what could have happened at an Elizabethan court. Which I am often nervous about. The author has a wonderful style of writing and does leave each character with you rushing to start the next.
I cannot wait to read the fifth book, I hope there is one, and I will be keeping my eyes peeled.
