Wow. Totally unexpected. I haven't read anything by this author before and love the era it's set in. Not my genre really but the period aspect saved it for me. I really felt I could follow along with the characters and their crazy journey. The way the relationships in the book form and evolve is inspired and I really felt their anger and frustration as well as their sadness and joy. Most of this book I was just in exasperation at the trio journeying together. Two is company, three is a crowd and all that. Like seriously woman leave their marriage alone! And the pregnancy bit 😲
And the main couple run from a crime they are falsely accused of only to walk in to a murder scene later on, so many plot twists.
I have just finished this book and now my husband wants to read it after having to hear all my gasps and "what, seriously" moments. I'm now off to look up the authors other books.
