When I read the book description the first thing that came to mind was Agatha Christie's Evil Under the Sun - an idyllic location, a small group of people as possible suspects, a murder. I liked the air of menace created by the phrase 'If I'd known what was coming' in the opening chapter. This could either be a mystery along well-established lines or perhaps do something unexpected.
