I found this extract to be a really easy read - the characters are well introduced and the scene is in some ways familiar. Arriving on holiday and getting to know the area and other people you're staying with...
But set in a big expensive villa, with a group of families coming together who don't know each other well - add in the strange behaviour of main character's husband, and the suspense builds. It felt a bit like a modern day Agatha Christie novel!
