After reading The Holiday I'll certainly be looking out for more books by T.M.Logan. Once I started this book I really didn't want to put it down. It tells the story of three friends who after two years of planning are meeting up in France for a week's holiday to celebrate their fortieth birthdays. Three of them are married and their husbands and children are with them. Kate has become convinced that her husband is having an affair with one of her friends even though he denies it. However he is behaving strangely and she becomes suspicious of each woman in turn. Kate's daughter is very unhappy but will not say why and Jennifer's sons are behaving recklessly. There is plenty in this book to keep you guessing.
