Four best friends and their families decide to go on a holiday in France for a 40th birthday celebration. It is meant to be a reunion, an occasion for happy memories but it is marred by simmering tension.

Everybody is hiding something and as the events unfold, you know there is much more to the holiday than it seems to be.

Loved how T.M. Logan has set his thriller against this backdrop of a family holiday. The characters are neatly etched, you can relate to them easily and understand the reasons for their behaviour. Kate is the protagnist and we navigate the story through although their are other characters who step in and we get the shift in perspective.

The pace is great, I found it hard to put it down and managed to zoom through it quickly. Logan manages to hook the reader well. It is a compelling read and the twists and turns keeps you guessing till the end.

Highly recommended.
