Perhaps not what a lot of people are expecting looking at the front page, The Holiday follows four women as they try to reignite a traditional yearly holiday. However, Kate (our MC) discovers text messages that turn her world upside down, is her husband having an affair?
What follows is mainly a slowburn story with the reader not knowing who to truat and what is going on with Logan making great use of the unreliable narrator element of recent thrillers. Everyone comes under suspicion throughout the novel and everyone clearly has secrets.
In terms of characters, Kate can sometimes be a bit idiotic - It always surprises me when authors make characters make non-sensical decisions. The rest of the cast are well done as well, although perhaps just as idiotic as our main character. I will say however that this is a very enjoyable read that is full of twists and turns, a well paced plot and it will keep you guessing until the very end, with a satisfying ending.
